Vendors
We are a “producers-only” market, meaning that vendors are required to offer items that they themselves grow and make (although exceptions may be considered and made on a case-by-case basis, for items that cannot be produced locally, such as coffee, chocolate, olive oil). This allows our customers to ask questions about products and growing practices, and to develop trusting relationships with the people who grow their food!
We especially welcome makers of items that contribute to sustainable production and living, or reducing disposable items and waste: natural body-care items, environmentally-friendly cleaning products and items for the home, reusable and durable replacements for disposable items, and products made from recycled or repurposed materials.

Volunteers
Slippery Rock Farmers Market is managed and operated solely by volunteers.
Roles and tasks include helping with market setup and cleanup, greeting people entering the market, assisting with publicity and social media, providing educational displays and activities for children, and serving on the market management team.
